Joining: As a Cadet

Anyone can join once they are aged 12 or over and have started Year 8 or higher at school. The maximum enrolment age is 17 so you must have joined no later than 16 years and 9 months but the earlier you join the more you will get out of it!

To join please fill in the below application form to attend our next intake evening. Please be quick as we can only cater for so many new cadets at one time. We will send you further instructions closer to the time for when to arrive and what to bring with you but each child should be accompanied by a parent.If you choose to turn up on the evening we may unfortunately have to turn you away if you have not applied in advance due to limits placed on us for total personnel in the building.

You must meet the age/school year criteria on the dates shown below or alternatively supply your childs Date of Birth if too young and we will add you to the next available intake after they turn 12 and have entered Year 8 - you will then be contacted closer to the time.

Joining costs £15 per calendar month payable at the beginning of the month - the first month is FREE.

It is very important that new cadets attend all the planned training or they will not be able to progress onto the off Squadron activities - further details will be given on the night.

Joining: As a member of staff

Anyone can join as staff over the age of 20 and upto the age of 65. Initially starting as a Civilian Instructor you can then choose to move on into uniform or not. Please email the Officer Commanding and we will get back to you to arrange an informal chat.
