Interested in helping us but cannot commit the time to become a staff member? Then the civilian committee may just be for you!
The committee meets every 6 weeks on parade evenings for an informal and friendly discussion on the direction the Officer Commanding is taking the Squadron. how the committee can help the Squadron develop both in supporting cadets directly through financial assistance and purchasing new and replacement equipment but also through the formation of fundraising ideas and seeking grants from others.
They help arrange the fundraising aspect of Armed Forces Day, bucket collections at the Open Air Theatre and bag packs at Morrisons. They also arrange the annual Christmas Dinner amongst other events - so you can get your teeth into something and gain valuable experience supporting our youngsters without committing too much time if you have a hectic schedule!
You can either be a trustee & counter signature for payments, be nominated for the Chair, Secretary or Treasurer roles and even help out on occassional activities by becoming a registered committee member.
You would need to be willing to undergo Adult Volunteer Induction Training and as a minimum also undertake Heart Start training at the Squadron.
Interested? Fill in the form below and we will get back to you!
